We're far from the first people to think about following Lawson, and though Lawson's route is largely understood, the people who have studied deeply -- or who live in the territory -- are the best judges of where he went and where we should go. Some of the placemarkers are still little more than placeholders; others have information. So far all they tell you is facts about Lawson as we understand them. As our trip progresses, we'll start telling you what we've seen on his trail. We'll drop in new markers as our information increases.
